Do you listen to the music when you doing home exercise?


According to recent surveys music has a greater impact on our body, health and life, as we might think. Scientists all over the world found numerous effect of music to ourselves.They are all saying the same thing, that impact of music on successful exercise is huge and enormous.

Listening to music makes exercising more enjoyable and motivates us to keep up with our goals. Our goals can be different (weight loss, get into shape, relaxation etc), but one is a fact: Music helps us to achieve our goals.

Benefits and effects of music on our body, health and life can be summarized in six categories:

  • the effects of music on respiration and heart rate,
  • the effects of different types of music on physical strength,
  • the effects of music and rhythmic stimuli in the rehabilitation of gait disorders
  • the effects of music on endurance performance,
  • the effects of rhythmic accompaniment upon learning fundamental motor skills
  • the influence of music elements on aerobic fitness

Home exercise and music

Doing exercise at home, let’s face it, can be boring and not so interesting. But because of the benefits that we get from home fitness, especially from workouts on rowing machines, I do it almost every day. At first I needed some motivator for my exercise and I found it in music. Exercising with music, gives you needed fun and enjoyment, for successful training.

The selection of music depends on my mood in the morning and the purpose of exercise. If I am planning to do some hard workout, I prefer more powerful music, rock music. But when I got the same day some more important meetings, then I choose more easy music, maybe some classical music or some more happy music, like Abba.

This last one is one of my favorites choice. Especially after viewing the movie Mamma mia, with fantastic Meryl Streep.

Song like Super Trouper, Mamma Mia, Money Money Money, Dancing Quene and all other gives you power to row faster and longer. Especially if you also watch movie on One of the best TV’s.
