Kettler HKS Ergo Coach LS Rowing Machine Review

One thing that ought to be mentioned – and may in fact be found on other reviews – is the comfort of the seat. It is, actually, comfortable enough for a workout if you take the time when starting the session finding the right seating position. But once you’ve got that figured out for your own posterior, it becomes second nature.
The programs on the computer can be controlled via the heart rate, but despite this the computer is pretty easy to master. There are a number of programs on the machine. Once you hop on, you might be tempted to try any one of them. It comes with six preset programs, but you can comfortably work out without the preset programs – although each of them is worth checking out, to find the right one for you.
Preset programs
The first one is a solid twenty minute workout. There is so much flexibility in the presets and in manual settings that your workout can certainly match your level of fitness, regardless of what level that is. As with other exercise machines, it targets areas of the body other than the legs and stomach, as well as those two, and it means that you feel you’ve done a good overall aerobic workout rather than just rowing. This rower has a capacity for users who weigh a max of 280 Lbs, which is certainly in keeping with how sturdy the frame is. It has a three year warranty, so even if something goes wrong with it – despite its sturdiness – you can get it fixed. The warranty extends to a lifetime warranty when it comes to the actual frame of the machine, which is a testament to the quality of the engineering. The roller seat is based on ball bearing technology.
Kettler HKS Ergo Coach LS Monitor
The display is easy to read – with a number of values represented onscreen. You have a stroke speed reading and a heart rate monitor so that you can note and gauge how much faster you go as your fitness progresses over the course of the weeks and months of use. Not only that, but both pre-determined and manual settings allow you to program for either high intensity sessions (if you don’t have much time) or a more anaerobic long haul session (if you do). This indoor rower has plenty more to recommend it. Its solidity means that it’s a great mimic of actual rowing compared to other rowing machines. Although nothing will match actual rowing in open waters or on a river, this is a great workout machine – and a good addition to an indoor gym, or great as a single machine that gives an overall workout.
